Standards can differ and serve different purposes
Cloud security standards are written by groups of experts which may have different expectation about the purpose of the standard and how it should be used. Figure 1 shows options and possible differences regarding the content, usage, target group and subject.

The concept presented in this document aims at improving the benefit of cloud security standards for user organizations (Cloud Service Consumers, CSC). Refer to the lower right in Figure 1. More precisely, we want to improve the transparency and achieve that user organizations can easily compare different services.
